August Holiday Club
Nurture and Nature Montessori Pre-schools holiday club has been growing in popularity
ever since 2008 and will be including Lion cubs this year.. The program will be running over the course of 3 weeks
in the upcoming August holidays. Each day is specifically planned
around an exciting theme which will ensure that your children have fun
and remained stimulated during the holiday.

- Time: 7:30- 17:30
- Nutritious cooked lunch will be served daily
- 18 months to 6 years

- Cost: R120 per day per child
12 August 2013- Bring your favourite Teddy to school, Dress in your Pyjama’s, Enjoy a scrumptious picnic with your Teddy and friends, Create a picture frame and take home a photo of you and your teddy.
Lunch: Chicken a la King
Princesses and Pirates theme Day
13 August 2013- Dress up like a princess or pirate, Best dressed wins a prize, Create a princess crown or pirate eye patch, Enjoy an interactive drama class, Enjoy a treasure hunt in the garden.
Lunch: Beef and Carrot Casserole
14 August 2013- Enjoy a fun music lesson with our wonderful Kindermusiek instructor- Alison, Make your own musical instrument, Musical chair/ statue competitions and the winner receives a certificate.
Lunch: Potato Pizza
15 August 2013- Dress up in your favourite sporting outfit, Take part in a Little Kickers soccer lesson, Take part in mini-olympics and receive a medal.
Lunch: Fish Cakes, Rice and Vegetables
16 August 2013- Bake and decorate cupcakes, Make rainbow toast and participate in a lesson on mixing colours using edible ingredients. Receive a baker boy or baker girl hat.
Lunch: Sloppy Joe's
Lion Cubs visit the school Day
19 August 2013-Live lion cubs visit the school and interact with the children, educational lesson on cats, lions and sounds, videos, real teeth and nails of a fully grown lion and loads more. Take home a photo with you and the lion.
Lunch: Chicken and Sweetcorn Pasta
20 August 2013- Make your own Pizza's from scratch baked in a real mobile pizza oven, Take home an apron and a chef hat, Lesson on food and nutrition, Enjoy your own pizza for lunch.

Arts and Crafts Day
21 August 2013- Every child is an artist. Enjoy a day of Sculpting and Moulding you Pottery master piece you have created. Children get the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing by learning different Painting techniques which is extremely fun, messy and educational.
Lunch: Vegetarian Hamburger and Chips
22 August 2013- Jumping castle, Get your face painted, Party treats, Play pass the parcel and pin the tail on the donkey where winner receives a prize, Create a clown art activity.
Lunch: Tuna Pasta
23 August 2013- Dress up as ‘What am I going to be when I grow up?’ A show and tell on what you want to be when you grow up, Interactive role play to learn about various careers, Complete a career related art activity, Take home a photo of you and your friends on career day.
Lunch: Hot Dog and Chips
A Day at the Farm
26 August 2013- Farm yard educational talk, Pony rides, Bottle feed lamb, interact with bunnies and enjoy feeding the calves, Farm animal art activity.
Lunch: Chicken Drum Sticks, Rice and Vegetables
Witches and Wizards Day
27 August 2013-Make and decorate witch and wizard hats, Enjoy magic tricks, Face painting, Take home a magic wand
Lunch: Spagetti Bolognaise
28 August 2013- Dress up in a countries traditional wear, Food tasting of different countries, Lesson on different cultures, Flags of the world activities, Make an African cultural necklace, Prize for best dressed.
Lunch: Pap and Wors
A Day at the Circus
29 August 2013- Clown show, Make a circus puppet, Face painting, Lesson on the circus, Enjoy delicious circus treats- ice-cream and pop-corn.
Lunch: Fish Fingers, Mash and Vegetables
30 August 2013- Plant vegetables, Textured Art activities with material from the garden, Make a spring hat, Environmental Awareness lesson.
Lunch: Macaroni and Cheese
