Book a Tour to View

Nurture & Nature Montessori Preschool, will be opening their 4th school in Sandton in January 2020 and is now open to view! Thinking of where to send your child to preschool next year? Looking for something upmarket with a nurturing environment that is close to your workplace? Nurture & Nature @ The Leonardo is taking tours in November and December and welcomes you to view our spectacular school.

The school is located on the seventh floor of The Leonardo lifestyle building on Maude Street in Sandton. The school is in an ideal location for moms and dads who work in Sandton and are looking for a safe and secure yet nurturing environment for their little ones while still keeping them close to their work place. “Whether you live or work within The Leonardo building itself, or in the greater Sandton area, this is the school for your child”, says Pam Schreiber, co-owner and Douglasdale principal.

The school will comprise of two age groups; the Toddler and Pre-School environments for children from 18 months to 5 years old. With four beautifully spacious classrooms, the children will have the space needed to move around with ease during their Montessori work cycle and will be offered a highly personalised educational environment. Each classroom will have its own Montessori workstations, to allow children to learn and grow through play. The workstations include Culture, Maths, Language, Practical Life and Sensorial areas; all with their own equipment for the children to interact with and learn. The nurturing teachers and assistants work with the children on the spacious play mats during each work cycle to give a tranquil environment to allow optimal growth.

An educational rich library provides for learning and curiosity and many a story time reading. The library will play a central point to the Sandton school, situated in a quiet corner near the entrance of the school. This becomes a favorite spot for teachers and children alike as the children can relax on soft cushions and comfy chairs while listening to their favorite story.

When not inside the children will be exploring the expansive open outdoor play area that was carefully planned and mapped out to make use of all the space provided. The outdoor area has been landscaped to make it feel as natural as possible, by incorporating trees and astro turf to give a natural outdoor environment. The jungle gyms were carefully selected and designed by Occupational Therapists to encourage movement and development.

The school acknowledges that parents may both work full day, as such half day and aftercare options are available with holiday care throughout the year. Full and Half day children each receive a healthy cooked lunch made especially for Nurture & Nature by renowned chef, Paulo Santo and co-founder of Gemelli restaurant.

“We welcome you to come and view our beautiful school that has been built off the last 12 years of learning, where we have combined the proven Nurture and Nature learning methodology with the finest world class facilities a preschool has to offer.” Says Lee-Anne Myerson, founder of Nurture & Nature Montessori and Sandton principal.
